In Kandahar province, imams/religious leaders and Taliban’s Vice and Virtue enforcers told worshipers to prohibit women from using smartphones.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health suspended Afghanistan’s polio vaccination campaign. The Taliban views vaccines as a “Western agenda” against the Muslim population.

Women in Balkh province were once again prohibited from going to parks. This ban was issued earlier as well.

Taliban Chief Minister issued an order prohibiting anyone from inviting Taliban leaders to debates. This came after several scholars challenged the Taliban’s strict laws, arguing that they contradict Islamic teachings.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Information & Culture issued an edict imposing sweeping restrictions on the media. The 8-point directive, include a ban on live broadcasts, a requirement to use only Taliban-approved commentators, a prohibition on criticizing Taliban policies and laws, and a mandate that media outlets cover only pre-approved topics.
