In Takhar province, the Taliban banned local media and journalists from taking photos or videos of living beings. According to the Taliban’s Ministry of Vice and Virtue, capturing images or footage of any living creature is strictly prohibited.
In Balkh province, the Taliban banned women from accessing the joint Afghanistan-Uzbekistan market on the border.
In Badakhshan province, the Taliban ordered that male and female patients must visit the main provincial hospital at separate times. Women are only allowed to seek medical care during designated hours before noon and in the afternoon, while men are restricted to times when women are not present.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture has issued a directive banning bookstores from selling about 400 books, including those on democracy, Shia Islam, religion, and poetry.
