The Taliban authorities announced that all Afghan women who are still working, regardless of their rank, education, or specialty, will receive a uniform salary of 5,000 AFS, equivalent to $71. This included women physicians, nurses, midwives, teachers, and a few others. The Taliban has banned women from working and only some are employed in a few fields.
