Taliban’s Ministry of Education ordered Provincial Education Departments, mandating the complete separation of boys’ and girls’ schools. The order also stated that men teachers will only teach boys and women teachers will only teach girls.

In Herat province, Taliban’s morality department, Prevention of Vice and Promotion of Virtue ordered the Traffic Department to prohibit women from driving. Taliban argues that driving is a highly responsible job and that women are “incapable of driving and possess scattered minds.”
